Description: The Santa Caterina boasts a beautiful coastal setting with panoramic views, located on the famous Amalfi drive, a few minutes from the famous town of Amalfi. Originally constructed in 1880, two generations of Gambardellas have improved the hotel, bringing the resort to its present 70 guestrooms and suites. The hotel sits at the summit of an extensive property, which begins along the Amalfi drive and tumbles down to the water in a series of landscaped natural terraces. Two elevators and scenic path transport guests past citrus groves and lush gardens to the seaside level, which includes a sea-water swimming pool, sunbathing decks, gym, cafe/bar and open-air restaurant.

Rooms: 70 Guestrooms and suites; 36 Standard, superior and deluxe accommodations and 13 junior suites, executive junior suites and senior deluxe suites are located in the main building. There are 17 additional accommodations; Garden suites, deluxe rooms, junior suites, executive junior suites and senior deluxe suites in Villa “Santa Caterina” and the new acquisition, recently completed Villa “il Rosso”. The spacious deluxe rooms feature original antiques, hand-painted ceramic tile floors, sea view bathrooms offers five-star amenities including brass fixtures, heated towel bars and plush privacy amidst the natural splendours of the Amalfi coast.

Each of the 66 luminous rooms and suites have a balcony or a terrace or large windows with view on the Amalfi coast. Many have a large terrace or garden. They are furnished with early 20th century family pieces and decorated with Vietri multi-coloured ceramics.

Standard room
Side sea view Standard rooms are comfortable and have side sea view and balcony. These rooms are usually smaller than the Superior and Deluxe rooms. Upon your request beds can be Double or Twin-bedded. The floors are all tiled differently with colourful ceramics from Vietri.

Junior Suite
With front sea view and balcony or terrace. These rooms are large and spacious with lounge area and balcony or terrace overlooking the sea and Amalfi. Nicely decorated with antique furniture. Upon your request beds can be King or Twin-bedded. The floors are all tiled differently with colourful ceramics from Vietri. All with Jacuzzi and separate shower.
 
Executive Junior Suite
With front sea view and balcony or terrace. Larger Junior Suites with lounge area and large terrace overlooking the sea and Amalfi. Nicely decorated with antique furniture. Upon your request beds can be King or Twin-bedded. The floors are covered with hand-painted colourful ceramics from Vietri. The bathrooms are very large and are tiled with colourful ceramics. All with Jacuzzi Pool and separate shower. Non connecting rooms.
 
Regular Suite
With front sea view and balcony or terrace. Intimate and quite One bedroom Suite situated in the main building or in a superb garden location at the centre of the lemon and orange groves. The Suite is nicely decorated with separate lounge, balcony and large terrace overlooking the sea and Amalfi. Upon your request beds can be King or Twin-bedded. Senior Deluxe Suite

Suite Follia Amalfitana with front sea view
Ideal for a romantic retreat with full view of the bay, located in the centre of the lemon and orange groves. The rooms are spacious with white washed walls, tiled with large emerald colour ceramics. The lounge has a large veranda with sea view and balcony, where you can enjoy breakfast and the sun rise. The bedroom has a super-king heart shape bed and balcony. The large bathroom has a double sink and a sunken Jacuzzi Pool with veranda overlooking the sea and Amalfi coast.

Chalet Giulietta & Romeo with full sea view
Ideal honeymoon retreat independent on sea level, located in the centre of the lemon and orange groves. The suite is laid on two floors: the entrance is on the top floor where you find the king-bedded room with a picturesque round terrace for two with full sea view, overlooking Amalfi and the bay. On the same level there is the main bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate shower with a sea view oblong window with view of the bay. The ground floor features another bathroom and a lounge with terrace and small garden.

Il Torrino with garden - sea view 
Honeymoon retreat. This independent suite is accessible from the botanical gardens and has large windows with view over the garden and the sea in the background. The suite is laid on two levels: the entrance is on the lower floor where you find the sitting room with a large and comfortable divan. From the sitting area there is a staircase that leads to the king-bedded bedroom. Outside the bathroom, close to the bed, there is a large round Jacuzzi with window, which overlooks the upper terrace of the suite and the sea. The suite is tiled with white ceramics and chestnuts wood. The bathroom has a large shower and is tiled with white and orange tiles.
 
Dining and Bars:

The Santa Caterina has two restaurants: one in the main building and the other at sea level, offering award-winning cuisine. The fame of the two restaurants is recognised by the most authoritative guidebooks worldwide.

Restaurant Santa Caterina
Spectacular views and a large terrace for dining. The dining room is very elegant and features marble and lapis lazuli floors. The Cuisine is renowned for its delicious, traditional yet creative dishes. Dress code is informal but long trousers are required. Buffet Breakfast and Lunch in low season are also served here. Reservation is recommended.

Restaurant Al Mare
In high season from May to October, lunch is served in this Restaurant located at the Beach Club level overlooking the swimming-pool. Grilled fish and pizzas are baked in the traditional oven are available. Dress code is informal and shorts are welcome. Reservation is recommended.
 
Bar La terrazza
Snacks, after dinner drinks in the bar lounge or the large terrace with view over Amalfi and the wonderful bay. The Barman prepares a large selection of cocktails, long drinks and home-made lemon liqueurs, accompanied by hot and cold canapés.

2 Elevators cut into the rock lead directly to the private beach and sea-water swimming pool open from 8.00 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April to October, weather permitting. The area is cordoned off and therefore it is advisable for children to be accompanied by an adult.
