Description: The Vijitt Resort, an all villa-style resort hotel situated right on Friendship Beach in Rawai, with a beachfront of 250 metres - totalling 18 acres. This new resort, formally Vijitt Bungalows, retains much of its original charm by incorporating the mature palms and other trees into the overall design. Dining:
The cuisine at the resort offers a high standard of food quality and service, presented in a relaxed informal environment. A focus on organic foods will be introduced with items also coming from the resort’s own herb and vegetable gardens and the fruit trees planted throughout the resort.

The Vijitt Resort features two exclusive restaurants. The Savoury Restaurant offers an expansive buffet breakfast and all-day international dining. Baan Vijitt Restaurant, the Sino-Portuguese style house, provides a traditional dining experience and an authentic Thai cuisine.

Coral Island

Situated 9 km off the south east coast of Phuket, the island is surrounded by
colourful coral reefs, a perfect place to relax and unwind. A short 15 minutes
ride by speed boat will bring you to a white sand beach with crystal clear
water, an ideal place for swimming and snorkelling. We provide a
complimentary roundtrip transfer by minivan and speed boat as following

Beach Marine Walk

Here at Vijitt Resort we are lucky to have a very special activity down on the
beach. When the tide has gone out it exposes a fascinating sea garden. While
wandering over the sand you look carefully and you will find a treasure trove of
animal and plant life. If you love nature and enjoy exploring natural environments,
we invite you to join a guide from the hotel who will accompany you on a marine
walk and provide interesting information about the crabs, colourful coral, jellyfish
and other life that inhabit the sea. The waters around Phuket support many natural
treasures……………….be careful where you step you never know what beautiful
things you might find!

Bottanical Walk

The beautifully landscaped natural setting of the Vijitt Resort Phuket is abundant with
trees native to the area. Among these are mature coconut palms, rubber trees,
tropical plants and a vast range of fruit trees.
Over 60 years of careful development have finally produced a natural setting that
has allowed the creation of our environmentally-friendly resort. We pride ourselves
on our commitment to preserving and working harmoniously with the natural
environment.

We are happy to extend an invitation to our guests to soak up the natural
atmosphere of our resort by providing guides to accompany guests on a leisurely
walk through 18 acres of magnificent tropical plants and trees. We encourage you
to take in the scents, sounds and sights of this beautiful environment as you listen to
engaging information provided by our guides

Natural Rubber Tapping

The Vijitt Resort Phuket features over 150 rubber trees, a tree that is fast disappearing
on Phuket in the interests of commercial tourism, however we not only decided to
keep our rubber trees but make them part of our environmental programme.
Rubber is main source of income for some of the villagers in the southern part of
Thailand. Currently, there are still some rubber plantations in Phuket which can
notice rows of rubber trees with their characteristic coconut shell collecting pot
attached to each one or lots of what look like bath mats hanging up, that will be the
sheets of rubber left out to dry.

How will this work?
Cultural activities are a great way to participate in and learn about the daily lives of
the villagers. We will process the rubber and make the processing guest activity,
giving guests the opportunity to learn a little more about one of Thailand’s largest
exports. Guest will see how the locals process this natural latex, from tapping the
tree to rolling it into the finished product and have the opportunity to try their hands
at rubber tapping and also make their own rubber based mementos.
Furthermore the revenues made from the processing and sale of the rubber will be
donated to a suitable local community based programme.
It may be unusual but it is our way of finding a harmony between the earth and
tourism, of finding a balance between commercialism and nature and of finding a
way that all this can benefit those less fortunate in life..
